Kurt V. Ullman, President
Providing Medical Communications
Services Since 1984
Introduction
I started
freelancing in 1984. Over the years, I have written nearly 500 articles
for publications as diverse as Firehouse
(where I was a contributing editor and wrote a column on emergency
medicine for 10 years), Cardiology
World News, Cardiovascular
Disease Management, DOC News,
HemAware, and the Health
Behavior News Service. I was also one of the early writers for WebMD,
where I was exposed to most of the major specialties. In other areas, I
have written Best Practice papers, monographs, and Continuing Medical
Education materials such as symposia reporters and newsletters. I have
also covered medical conferences for MedPageToday.com among others.
On the consumer side, I have written for magazines
and websites. Among these are a series of patient-teaching articles for
a major midwestern group of hospitals and a weekly newspaper column
that was syndicated throughout the state by the Indiana University
Medical Center.
I have a diversified educational background that
includes an A.A.S. in Nursing, a B.S. in Public Affairs with a Mass
Communications Media concentration and a Masters in Health
Administration. This gives me grounding in both the clinical and
operational sides of health care.
Medical Communicators is ready to help you with
many of your editorial needs. From patient teaching materials to
