Here is my rating system:
5 Stars!!!-Incredible anime, don't miss this. Has great plot, animation, everything about it is sweet.
4 & 1/2 Stars-These are definitely worth checking out and are almost 5's, but only the best anime gets a 5 star rating.
4 Stars-Very good anime still worth buying. These are anime other people might consider 4 & 1/2 or 5 Stars so check'em out.
3 Stars-Good anime has cool parts worth renting first.
2 Stars-Your taking your chances with these, maybe the previews looked good but the anime isn't.
1 Star-Avoid these like the plague!!! (there aren't many) Remember these are my opinions, so try different anime out, because you may like what I don't.

Saber Marionette J - 4 1/2 Stars
Otaru lives on a world of all men (don't get the wrong idea) all the women are called marionettes and are pretty much like emotionless robots (because they are robots!). Untill one day Otaru discovers a different kind of marionette with emotions named Lime. She instantly loves Otaru for awakening her, but is very immature and causes him nothing but trouble of course. Very funny, the more characters they introduse the better it gets. (US release)

Sailor Moon - 4 Stars
Incredible popular series in which Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts combat the evil forces of the Negaverse. Most people would probably rate it higher especially since the uncut versions are so much better than the Cartoon Network versions. But like I said this is my opinion so check it out and judge for yourself. (US release)

Serial Experiments Lain - 4 Stars
Warning!!! This anime will confuse you and make you feel like your on an acid trip. You will want to keep watching to find out what happens next. Lain is a quiet, shy, school girl, but when she gets on to the wired she really comes out of her shell. Watch as Lain builds an insanely huge computer, gets chased by many people who know, love, hate, and sometimes even worship her. Great example of what new style anime loods like, especially good looking on a DVD player. Really shows how good an anime can look on DVD. (US release)

The Slayers - 4 1/2 Stars
I would rank this a 5 Star if the second season was as good as the first. The main character is Lina, she's a sassy little sorceress who's always getting into trouble and dragging other people into her troubles. Very funny anime highly recommended. (US release)

Tenchi Muyo - 5 Stars!!!
This comedy centers around Tenchi a normal high school boy, until a bunch of girls from outer space come into his life and cause him nothing but trouble, although it makes a lot of laughs for us. Very funny series. (US release)

3x3 Eyes - 4 Stars
Yokamo Fuji travels around with an immortal called a Sanjion who has 3 eyes and wants to become human. Their adventures eventually pit them against the evil Kaian Wang, another Sanjion, who's minions are trying to awaken him and take out our heroes. (US release)

Those Who Hunt Elves - 4 Stars
Three travelers from Earth are trapped on an alternate world. During the ritual which would return them to earth, the high elf performing the ceremony gets distracted, and the spell that would send them home gets spread throughout the world. Even worse it is imprinted on five lucky elves' bodies. Thus begins the travelers journey to strip every elf down they meet, and find the pieces of the spell that will send them home. Very funny anime...enjoy. (US release)

Vampire Hunter D - 4 Stars
D is a half human, half vampire who has the powers of a vampire, but chooses not to feed on humans. He now travels hunting down vampires and saving people in this hellish future Earth. Excellent anime, a little old. They recently remade the anime and it will undoubtedly be kick ass. (out of print, but not for long ^_^)

Vision of Escaflowne - 5 Stars!!!
Hitomi is a high school girl who through tarot cards and visions can predict the future.....a little too well. So much happens in the first episode. I don't want to give any away, but this series will grab you by the end of the first episode and won't let go till the end. Incredible animation and one of the best anime soundtracks you're gonna hear. Very, Very cool!!! (US release)
