ITTONA Mission Statement

The International Tyrolean Trentino Organization of North America (ITTONA) serves as an umbrella organization uniting all Tirolean-Trentini clubs in North America. It acts as a liaison between the Trentino nel Mondo Association, Trento Italy and the Autonomous Provincial Government of Trento. ITTONA organizes the Biennial ITTONA convention with the chosen host club and it promotes the organization of new Trentini Clubs. ITTONA was founded June 20, 1976.

2006 ITTONA Convention was held in New York City, July 2-6, 2006

.
Club Trentino of New York provided wonderful hosting with many tours and a great program.
The Convention Program started with two full days of tours. First day was the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island trips. Second day was open deck bus tour of every aspect of Manhattan including a visit to the World Trade Center site and plans of the new memorial tower.
The final two days was a wonderful program put on by the New York Trentino Club. This included:
--Afternoon Concert by the Coro San Romedio Musical Choir from Trento Italy
--Heritage Room historical displays
--Genealogy Program
--New movies produced by the Trentini nel Mondo organization of Trento Italy
--Remarks by the new President of Trentino Region of Italy, the honorable Dario Pallaoro
--Italian Buffet and Dinner Dance
--Gala Dinner and Dance
--Closing Breakfast at Rockefeller Center
--Mass at St. Patricks by Archbishop Luigi Bressan of Trento Italy
