About the Author

“I’ll admit, I was born with a wooden spoon in my mouth,” says author Eliza Cross Castaneda, a lifetime Coloradoan who was raised in a family of good cooks. A food and lifestyle writer whose many articles have appeared in Mountain Living, Colorado Homes and Lifestyles, ColoradoBiz and Log & Timber Style magazines, she was a magazine publishing executive for more than 20 years. In addition to moonlighting as a caterer, she has taught cooking classes in a variety of subjects and appeared on more than 50 live television and radio programs. She lives in Greenwood Village with her husband and two children.
