How to view logs
Details of the events that constitute a problem instance
When you define a problem, you have the option to enable or
disable logging. If logging is enabled for the problem, you can view the log records of
the events which constitute a problem instance.
To view the logs of a problem, do the following.
- Select a problem from the Problem Overview window by clicking on it. You
may select one or more problems.
- From the Analysis pull-down menu, select Log
The Log
window appears, showing the event or events that constitute the selected
problem.
The problem log view
The logs show the raw data of the original event message. The log
records consist of columns of comma-delineated strings of the form
token=value.
