The TIAS menus

The File pull-down menu

The File menu lets you close the current window. To close the current window, select Close.

The View pull-down menu

The View menu lists defined views. Depending on the view definition, the view causes a certain selection of problems to be displayed in the current problem overview.

To select a view, click on one of the selections. When you select an item in the View menu, a box appears next to it, showing that it is selected.

You can select more than one view. The views you select determine which problems appear in the current problem overview window.

See How to create or change view definitions.

The Style pull-down menu

The style menu lets you determine how you see the list of problems in the Problem Overview list.

The List by Time style is the default for the Problem Overview window. When you select List by Time, the Problem Overview menu lists problems in order of creation time.

If you select Group by Severity, problems are grouped in four boxes. The boxes indicate the problem's severity. The top box is for most severe problems, and the bottom box is for least severe problems.

See The TIAS Problem Overview window.

The Sound pull-down menu

The sound menu lets you enable warning sounds to alert you to changes to the TIAS overview.

Sounds are available to alert you to the following changes.

begin indicates that a new problem instance has arrived
update indicates that the window has been updated
end indicates that a problem instance has been removed from the list

You can enable a sound from the menu by clicking on it.

Click on the sound again to disable it.
