Our Desire
We arrange and perform wonderful selections from a time when romance and mystery ruled music. Dark ballads, fast
trots, and sambas demanded great skill and feeling during the 30's and 40's, creating some of the most dynamic music
known. We seek to capture the lure and seduction of the great violin and guitar duos, such as Joe Venuti, Eddie Lang,
Clarence Williams, Oscar Aleman, Eddie South and of course Grappelli and Reinhardt. There were none better.
Our History

favorite influences are Stephane Grappelli and Stuff Smith.

Jim Holland on guitar is a local multi-instrumentalist who
is enjoying a return to jazz. His musical influences include Norman Blake, Keith Emerson, and Paul Desmond. Jim is a member
of local old-time string band Wolves-A-Howlin’ and remains active on the contest circuit.
