We select songs and tunes from original playlists, interpreting directly from recordings and transcripts.   Heavy usage of altered chords, diminished scales, and "spy" or "crime" scene arrangements accompany the Hot Club sound.  Important components of this style include instrumentation capable of appropriate volume and strict acoustic discipline.  Most important are the rhythmic patterns such as the gallop and "la pompe", and soloing styles.   These elements are crucial in capturing the style, and dance-ability of the original Hot Club.
