The wedding ceremony will be held at Agudas Achim Congregation in Alexandria Virginia. Agudas Achim Congregation is committed to Conservative Judaism in a warm and egalitarian setting, affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism

We are very lucky to have Rabbi David S. Lieb of Temple Beth-El of San Pedro California to officiate at the services. 
Uncle David

Rabbi Lieb is married to Estelle, sister of Arline Sachs, the mother of the groom. Rabbi Lieb has been the spiritual leader of Temple Beth El for over twenty-five years. Born and raised in Chicago, he received a BA from the University of Illinois. He was ordained at Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati where he earned a Doctor of Divinity degree.

Joining Rabbi Lieb will be Rabbi Tracy G. Klirs.
Rabbi Tracy G. Klirs
Rabbi Klirs is the Director of Education and Youth at Agudas Achim Congregation and the co-author of The Merit of Our Mothers: A Bilingual Anthology of Jewish Women's Prayers. Originally from British Columbia, Rabbi Klirs received a fair amount of publicity in 1985 when she became the first female rabbi to hold her own pulpit in Canada.

Travel to Alexandria:
The hotel and the synagogue are both located within five miles of National Airport. The Holiday Inn and other local hotels have shuttle buses to and from the airport. Dulles Airport is approximately twenty miles from Alexandria. Taxis and van services are available from Dulles.
Accommodations:
A block of rooms have been set aside at the Holiday Inn Historic District in Alexandria (703/548-6300). The hotel is in Old Town Alexandria, a historic area with many great restaurants, sites, and shops. A shuttle bus is available to the Braddock Road metro, less than a mile away, which is seven stops (approximately 20 minutes) from downtown Washington, D.C.
Your Participation:
It is a Jewish belief that it is a mitzvah(mitzvah - a commandment) to rejoice with the bride and the groom. Although the service is scheduled to begin at 1 pm, you are invited to the Kabbalat Panim (kabbalat panim - receiving) starting at 12:30 pm. As an act of simcha (simcha - joy), we encourage you to bring a story, poem, advice, anecdote, etc. to share with us during the meal. We also hope you will bring your dancing shoes and a happy heart!
Babysitting will be available during the ceremony for young children.
