March, 2008 - Student Achievements

• Congratulations to Dylan Hayden on his successful college auditions at Baldwin-Wallace College and The University of Akron.
• Congratulations to William Kan for earning a SUPERIOR (I) Rating on his snare drum solo "Accentuate" by Edward Freytag at the OMEA Junior High Solo and Ensemble Contest.
• Congratulations to former student Eric Beach (Kent State Stark) who is the new member of the group So Percussion. After Kent Stark, Eric went on to study at the Peabody School and Yale University. He is presently a Fulbright Scholar in Germany.

January, 2008 - Student Achievements

• Congratulations to Dylan Hayden on his being named to the Ohio All-State Jazz Ensemble. Dylan will be performing with the band at the OMEA Convention in Cincinnati this February.
• Congratulations to former student Carol Dieball. Carol has won the concerto competition at Cleveland State and will be performing the Creston Concertino with the University Orchestra this coming semester.

June, 2007 - Student Achievements

• Congratulations to Dylan Hayden and Max Carlino on their successful auditions for the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra! Max and Dylan have both won positions in the ensemble.

March, 2007 - Student Achievements

• Congratulations to Carol Dieball, a sophomore music major at Tri-C, for a successful transfer audition at Cleveland State University. Carol is also performing frequently as an extra player with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra.

  • GCC: Dan Chmielewski (Strongsville H.S.) 12th Grade Snare Drum Solo (Markovich: "Tornado")

September 13, 2006 - Student Acheivements

Congratulations to Carol Dieball, a sophomore music major at Tri-C, on winning a spot in the Cleveland Cavaliers' Q-Stix Indoor Drumline. Carol will be performing at a number of Cavaliers home games this season.

June 13, 2006 - Student Acheivements

Congratulations to Max Carlino on a successful audition and being selected for the Contemporary Youth Orchestra.

Congratulations to Robert Parker on being accepted to the percussion program at The University of Akron and safe journey on his upcoming summer tour of Australia with the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony.
