THE FINAL ENCOUNTER

by Jane Pejsa

Foreword

by Dr. Manfred Rommel, son of the Field Marshal and Lord Mayor Emeritus of Stuttgart Germany

With Jane Pejsas book describing a discussion among three World War II generals in the other world, the reader enters a field beyond human experience. Everybody goes to this world; nobody comes back. The German philosopher Immanuel Kant calls reflections in this field beyond human experience –metaphysics” while the British use the term –German Metaphysics” as a synonym for unintelligibility. An author of fiction possibly has access to this metaphysical field and comes back from it with an understandable description. But this is the authors personal idea and other people cannot say whether it is true or false. I should like to know what British Field Marshal Montgomery would have said. He was not only a great soldier. His knowledge of the Bible was certainly superior to that of the other three generals. In any case, I admire Jane Pejsa for walking in the footsteps of Dante, into the antechamber of heaven, hell, and purgatory.
