Born and raised in Boise, Idaho I attended the Air Force Academy where I ma- jored in Astronautical Engineering. I worked for about a year as an Astro Engineer at the Air Force Phillips Laboratory in Boston following the Academy. As an engineer I mostly worked on an SDI experiment which helped pave the way for the Airborne Laser now in production. I did some work for a Space Shuttle experiment called Shuttle Glow and also did some work with small sounding rockets fired into thunderstorms. After my 1-year engineering stint, I went to Pilot Training where I flew the mighty T-37 and the supersonic T-38. A year of pilot training earned me a right seat in a KC-135 stationed in Wichita, KS where I met my wife of five years now. We spent four years in Okinawa, Japan and now live in Grand Forks where Im an instructor in the KC-135. I have a 17 month old son and I hope to move out of flying full time to work in a space related field wither for the USAF, NASA, or industry. I also hope to live in a place where I can pursue my true passion - rock climbing.
