Specimens from the Elmwood Mine

We've always loved the minerals from the Elmwood Mine, in Smith County, Tennessee, and have actively sought them out. The mine has been closed for a while now, and good-quality, affordable specimens are hard to come by. We've got a few flats of these highly prized minerals, including honey-colored and clear calcite, fluorite, barite, and gemmy sphalerite. Compared to other dealers' prices, our prices (ranging from $16 - $150, with most under $50) are quite reasonable. A few examples from our inventory are shown below.

Sphalerite, Elmwood, Tennessee___ Sphalerite & calcite on quartz, Elmwood Mine, Tennessee (#G10-766, $28). There are small yellow, dogtooth calcite crystals on the back of the specimen (I forgot to photograph them).
