SPECIMENS FROM BRAZIL
(updated 1/18/2010)
We have a large variety of Brazilian specimens, and the photos here just show some representative samples. In addition to those shown here we have tourmaline, smoky quartz, quartz with tourmaline, rose quartz, and other quartz-microcline-muscovite combinations.
Amethyst, various locations, Brazil. We carry amethyst in several different forms, including crystal groups, polished rings, and cathedrals (geodes). A couple examples are shown below.
__G08-1192, $45. This one has a very interesting gray calcite crystal on it _

__ Polished amethyst ring, #G08-1480, $125.
__ This one has a little paler color, but it has a few really nice white calcite crystals that really set it apart. (#G06-874, $75)
Polished Agate nodules. We have a few of these larger nodules, which have been polished on one side. They could be cut into several smaller pieces if desired, but they are getting hard to find in this size. Larger sizes priced from $40-50, and smaller ones priced from $12-35.

Kyanite, Minas Gerais, Brazil. We've got several of these specimens, all with good blue color and many with several crystals in a cluster. These are priced from $16-$60.
__ This is a beautiful grouping of large,deep-blue, kyanite crystals (#G06-417, $58).
Lepidolite from Minas Gerais. We have a couple flats of these, in both large and small sizes.Crystal forms range from hexagonal to botryoidal, and the colors are a nice medium to dark purple.
Prices range from $12-$45.
__ This large specimen is really special. It's what I'd call "flattened botryoidal" in form. You can see the overlapping hexagonal crystals that are trying to develop into the botryoidal shape. Nice deep color, which is kind of washed out in the photo. (#G08-271, $45)
