My first exposure to the Volvo 122S was in the spring of 1993.
A friend of mine had owned two in the past and purchased another one for
only $200. It was (still is) a great car, such personality and so
simple. I'd long regretted my ignorance of mechanics and saw this
as the perfect car to learn on. I finally got one in the fall of
1993. It definitely needed a lot of work (as is evident in the pictures).
My friend, Fitz, and I worked on that car for over a year.
