Faces & Places:
Costumes for a Cause

Published in Us Weekly, March 25, 2002

A strip-teasing Megan Mullally stole the show at "A Night at Sardi's," the tenth annual cabaret-style gala benefiting the Alzheimer's Association at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on March 6. The Will & Grace star playfully peeled off her suit jacket and threw down her fedora while singing "I'm a Woman." Later in the night, Frasier stars David Hyde Pierce and Kelsey Grammer -- along with costars Peri Gilpin and John Mahoney -- donned their penitentiary best to perform "Jailhouse Rock." The event, which was hosted by Jason Alexander, raised more than $1 million to fight Alzheimer's. "My grandfather died of Alzheimer's, and my father had an Alzheimer's-like dementia when he died," Pierce told Us. "That's twice in my family, and I am sick of it."
