HOW OUR LOVE OF SPINONI STARTED!
Klondike Kennels was started by Mike & Carol Sheridan with the idea of breeding quality dogs
that fit the physical description and practical function of the breed. They first had German Wirehairs and later added Bull
Mastiffs. Both breeds, while wonderful dogs, had many health problems so they started to look for a hunting breed that
hunted closer (Mike is an avid hunter) and had a better temperament and fewer health issues. After visiting a Spinone
kennel and spending the day getting to know the breed - they were sold on buying a Spinone.
A NEW ASSOCIATE!
Sue
Moen was looking for a dog to train for obedience that was a quick learner, had a good temperament and did not look like every
other obedience dog. After seeing a picture of a Spinone in a book and two years of research on the breed, Sue also visited
a Spinoni kennel, spent the day, and was hooked on the breed

On Sue's trip to Italy, she came home with Epithelium
Hotelma (Josie), who became mother of our first litter. Not only a wonderful mother, Josie proved to be
an excellent hunter and the best companion dog a person could ask for. She is now spending time with her best friend, Poppy, an
American Short Hair Cat. They eat together, sleep together and groom each other.
