Cathy Van Berkem is a Principal and co-founder of Strategic Change Resources, a management consulting firm specializing in planned organizational changes; team building; executive coaching; and leadership development. 
Ms. Van Berkem has over 22 years experience in corporate management and consulting positions helping organizations improve performance, manage change and develop people.

Cathy works with senior leaders to define the strategic directions of their business and mobilize the people in their organizations to achieve goals. She coaches leaders on the optimal actions they must take as individuals and teams to set direction, communicate expectations and focus on critical priorities in the midst of complex competitive pressures. Her clients have included such profit and non-profit firms as Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Allied Signal, Prudential Healthcare, The City of Los Angeles, the YMCA, and Allergan Pharmaceuticals.

Ms. Van Berkem has a background as a training and development executive in three major financial corporations, as the director of a senior consulting practice and in sales and operations for two entrepreneurial firms. She and her staffs have been recognized as key contributors to two major financial services company business turnarounds.

Cathy has experience in a variety of industries and takes a strategic, holistic approach to complex organizational problems. Her pragmatic and realistic insights support and strengthen her clients' efforts as they do the difficult work of transforming cultures and streamlining operations.

After earning her Bachelor's Degree cum laude from the University of California at Berkeley and completing graduate study in education and organizational behavior, Cathy began her career as a teacher. Throughout her business career, she has developed an excellent reputation as a dynamic speaker, expert consultant and facilitator and versatile leader. She is known for her strategic vision, mature insight and comprehensive approach to business challenges.
