ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY
Deborah Vidaver-Cohen received the B.A. in Fine Arts from Brown University, the M.F.A. in Sculpture
from the University of California and the Ph.D. in Arts and Sciences from Columbia University. Her work has been exhibited
nationally and internationally, and is represented in museums and private collections in the U.S. and in Europe. Her commissions
include trophies for national and regional dog breed clubs, as well as sculptures for the private art collections of Westminster
winners and other top U.S. breeders.
Exhibitions in Europe include in Paris, France - Le Centre National des Arts Plastiques and
the American Center Museum; In Lisbon Portugal - Museo Calouste Gulbenkian; in Berlin, West Germany - the New Society for
the Visual Arts; In Fribourg, Switzerland - Musee d'Art et d'Histoire; and in Israel - the Tel Aviv Museum and the Israel
Museum in Jerusalem.
Selected exhibitions in the U.S include in New York - the Reynold C. Kerr Gallery; In Chicago
- the ARC Gallery and the Klein Gallery; In Los Angeles - Los Angeles City Hall; In Minneapolis, MN - the Weisman Museum

Crocker Museum of Art; In San Mateo, CA - the San Mateo Arts Council; In San Diego, CA the Mandeville Art Center at the
University of California; In San Jose, CA - the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art; and in San Francisco CA - the
San Francisco Arts Commission, Southern Exposure Gallery, William Sawyer Gallery, Soker-Kaseman Gallery, Fuller-Goldeen Gallery,
and the San Francisco Art Institute.
Specializing in Belgian Shepherds, her recent commissions include trophies and fundraising
pieces for National Specialty shows sponsored by the Belgian Sheepdog Club of America, the American Belgian Tervuren Club,
the American Belgian Malinois Club, and the United Belgian Shepherd Dog Association.
Other breeds in the Argente Portfolio include Collies, Borzois and Portuguese Water Dogs.
